How to resize a photo to a pixel and KB limit
Enter the required width, height and maximum KB, then create resized images. Check each result before downloading: a correct pixel size does not guarantee a file will fit every byte limit.
- Try the built-in example or choose a JPEG, PNG or WebP image.
- Set the target pixels and maximum size. This tool uses 1 KB = 1,000 bytes.
- Use Cover to fill the target by cropping, or Contain to keep the whole image with white padding.
- Review the measured dimensions and size. Over-limit outputs are explicitly marked as best effort.
Why can an image still be over the limit?
Image detail, output dimensions and format affect compression. If the tool cannot reach your limit, try smaller dimensions if the receiving website permits them. This is not a passport or visa photo certification tool.
